7. Michael Bennett to the Dallas Cowboys from the New England Patriots

Michael Bennett is just running through teams at this point. The former Seattle Seahawks standout defensive lineman has since been on the Philadelphia Eagles, the New England Patriots and now the Dallas Cowboys after previously starring in the Pacific Northwest for Pete Carroll.

On Oct. 24, New England shipped Bennett to Dallas for a 2020 seventh-round pick that could end up being a 2021 sixth-round pick. The Patriots are out of the Bennett Brothers business, so getting anything for the former Pro Bowler was a great deal for the Evil Empire.

As for the Cowboys, Dallas will be getting a versatile defensive lineman that can still play at a high enough level to help take America’s Team from NFC East division leader to maybe a Super Bowl contender. Bennett has won a Super Bowl before with the 2013 Seahawks and went back to the Super Bowl on the 2014 team in Seattle. He knows what it takes to get there and Dallas does not.

Overall, this is a sneaky-good move for the Cowboys, as they’ll add another talented player to their front-seven to get ready for their postseason push. Dallas has the players to win football once the weather changes. Even if they play their home games in a dome, adding a Super Bowl champion like Bennett to the locker room could prove huge for a team that hasn’t been there since 1995.
