DraftKings EuroLeague Guards:

Alexey Shved has been as solid as ever, but I prefer the upside of Calathes and Vasije Micic here. Shved has a poor matchup with Athens. I prefer Micic out of the three, and he’s the cheapest by quite a bit.

If Nedovic is able to play, I doubt it’s in a really large capacity. I still like Sergio Rodriguez here for Milan in a great matchup with Berlin. On the Berlin side, I do like Peyton Siva for the price if Hermansson is forced to sit with his illness that kept him out of the domestic league game.

I have a feeling that many are going to move off of Pierria Henry after a disappointing game last week. However, Henry has a nice matchup with Belgrade, so I can see going back. The cautionary tale here is that Henry only played 18 minutes, a season low, in round 4. The return of Luca Vildoza to his normal minutes has taken a lot of steam away from Henry. At this point, Vildoza is probably the better play.

Since Efes started giving Krunoslav Simon his customary 30 minutes per game, he has taken off. Simon has 67 DraftKings points in 65 minutes over the last two rounds. He is definitely worth the money against Belgrade today.

I know a lot of people will flock to Jimmer after his hot shooting against St. Petersburg, but his minutes didn’t increase by much. If Jimmer goes cold, he’s still going to pull up a nice slab of bench. Fredette is very risky, but he is a good enough shooter to win you a GPP if he’s hot again. That is less likely at this price though.

Prices are adjusting, so value is harder to come by. Marcus Eriksson stands out a bit to me here. Eriksson was huge in round one, but he missed two rounds and only played eight minutes in his return last week. If Eriksson is back to starting, he’s a nice play for the price.

Last week was closer what we were expecting to see from Nik Stauskas. He finally started last round for Baskonia, but Stauskas still only played half the game. If they keep ramping up his minutes, Stauskas is a nice value play.

Dumpster diving at guard is difficult this round. I can’t quite get a read on Milan’s usage of Amadeo Della Valle. He has played very well when given minutes, but the minutes are 17, 5, 2, and 21 in the four rounds so far. He’s a nice GPP dart but is far too risky for cash.

Ognjen Dobric is a much more reliable option for about the same price. Dobric is the place to go for cheap value in cash with his 12.1 DraftKings points per game average.
