Fantasy Football picks: Five bounce back players for Week 9

Josh Jacobs – It has been a very up and down season for the rookie running back, as he has been on the downside of things more often than not. He owns a 57% share of the offensive snaps on the season, and while that is pretty low for a starting running back, he does average over 15 carries per game. Realistically, he has not been terrible as a real-life running back, and he has rushed for less than 50 yards in only one game. We need to see more touchdowns out of him, and since he does not see much action in the way of receptions, he will be a scoring dependent back for the remainder of the season.

This week is the perfect chance for him to bounce back, as Detroit gives up the second-most points at the running back spot, ranking 21st in DVOA against the rush. We have seen several backs tear them up in recent weeks, especially in the touchdown department where they have been giving up a good bit to opposing rushers. Jacobs is seeing enough work that against a defense of this caliber, he should be able to find the end-zone. He has had some pretty rough match-ups so far this season, with Chicago, Denver, Minnesota, and Houston, so this will be the softest match-up this season, not to mention this game should remain close, which will only help him.
