Duds
Justise Winslow (vs ATL – $6,900 on DK; $7,500 on FD): I suspect Winslow will have to take a step back with Butler in the lineup. We haven’t seen how the Heat have meshed with Butler in the regular season, but the fact that they’ve played so well without him is encouraging. Personally, I just need to see the Winslow/Butler in real game action before I can buy into Winslow keeping his production up to match his salary.
Nikola Jokic (vs. DAL – $10,000 on DK; $10,700 on FD): Jokic will probably have a strong game, but will he be one of the top three scorers on the night? I’m betting against it and that’s why he is in the dud position. I like Luka and Trae to have bigger games than Jokic and wouldn’t be surprised if Butler passes him either. On DK, I’m also betting on LeBron over Jokic.
Jonas Valanciunas (at LAL – $6,300 on DK; $6,200 on FD): Valanciunas is coming off a huge game in Brooklyn, but the minutes aren’t always there for him, which hurts. He can do a lot with a limited amount of minutes, but the Lakers size can also make things tough on him. He’s a high risk-high reward player and I’m leaning bust on Tuesday.
Tyler Herro (vs ATL – $4,900 on DK; $5,200 on FD): Along with Justise Winslow, Herro will probably take the biggest step back for the Miami Heat with Jimmy Butler returning. He’s already a bit hot and cold as a rookie and he needs his shot to fall more, but it might be tough for him to get into a rhythm with Butler take possessions away.
Alex Len (at MIA – $4,300 on DK; $5,000 on FD): The price is too high on FD given his current production level. And even though it’s not that high on DK, there are better options around him and below him. Len has simply failed to make any kind of an impact in Atlanta and until he proves he can make an impact, there is no reason to take him.
