8. Lamar Jackson (LW: 8)

If this were only about the ability to throw the ball, Jackson wouldn’t rank in the top 20. However, he’s on pace to shattered the 1,000-yard rushing mark, something only Michael Vick has ever done as a quarterback. He’s the most dangerous threat in the game right now.

7. Dak Prescott (LW: 7)

Prescott has come back to earth since his meteoric start of the season. Still, though, the Cowboys are 4-3 and Prescott has done well, throwing for 2,123 yards and 12 touchdowns (along with seven interceptions). If Prescott can limit the mistakes and keep being a compliment to Ezekiel Elliott and Dallas’ defense, the sky is the limit.

6. Kirk Cousins (LW: 6)

Cousins has been rolling the last month. Yes, the competition has been soft, but Cousins has thrived enough to be an MVP candidate. Through eight games, the veteran has thrown for 1,997 yards and 13 touchdowns. Next up, a potential showdown with Patrick Mahomes.

5. Drew Brees (LW: NA)

Brees came back after missing six weeks with a torn ligament in his right thumb and looked like the future Hall of Famer he is. Against the Cardinals, Brees threw for 373 yards and three touchdowns, making up for lost time. Right now, he’s the quarterback of the best team in football.
