player. 123. . Defensive Lineman. Dallas Cowboys. Javon Kinlaw. 21

The Dallas Cowboys have had a roller coaster of a year in 2019, but their last time out, they manhandled division rival Philadelphia in front of the home crowd. That should go a long way in their confidence moving forward, and if they can play the way they did in  that game, they are going to be hard to beat the rest of the way.

There is a lot to like about this Cowboys roster, but there is still work to be done if they are ever going to get back to being the premier team in the NFC like they were in Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott’s rookie season. Up front on defense, they have some strong pieces, but they could afford to utilize their first round pick in 2020 on some more.

Javon Kinlaw from South Carolina may be the most versatile defensive lineman in this draft class, as he has the speed to play on the outside, and the strength to play on the inside. Dallas already has guys like Demarcus Lawrence and Robert Quinn up front, and spent a second on Trysten Hill in 2019, but Kinlaw will be hard to pass up at No. 21 overall.

Edge. Miami Dolphins. A.J. Epenesa. 22. player. 59.

With their third and final pick in the 2020 NFL Draft’s first round, look for the Miami Dolphins to once again address an issue on their defense. After adding a cornerback in Jeffrey Okudah at No. 12 overall, the Dolphins could look to bring in an edge rusher later in round one, and they could get a good one in A.J. Epenesa from Iowa.

Many believe that Epenesa is the second-best edge rusher in this draft class, and if the Dolphins are going to get better, they have to add players at premier positions. Playing in the AFC East, it is imperative that the Dolphins find a way to get after the quarterback next season, and adding Epenesa alongside Christian Wilkins would give them two very talented, and very young defensive ends.

Miami has a long way to go in terms of getting back to being relevant, but they do have five first round picks over the next two drafts. Epenesa and Wilkins would be a formidable tandem off the edge for years to come in South Beach, and you can never have too much talent at that position.
