Treat – Chuba Hubbard

Historically, Oklahoma State has been known as a prolific passing team whose stars are their wide receivers and quarterbacks. This year, however, the Cowboys are one of the best rushing offenses in football, primarily because they boast the most exciting running back in college football. Chuba Hubbard has set the internet on fire this fall.

When you watch him play, it’s not hard to imagine that Hubbard has run track at some point in his life. He has more than just that: he is an Olympic level sprinter from Canada. That speed has translated beautifully into Mike Gundy‘s offense, where Hubbard has been the centerpiece all year. He currently has the most rushing yards in the country with 1.381 and is second in rushing touchdowns with sixteen.

Because Oklahoma State is out of the playoff hunt, Hubbard likely won’t seriously contend for the Heisman, but there’s always next year. With the Cowboys’ starting quarterback just a freshman and Hubbard being a sophomore, they will be back next year and should boast a much better passing offense. With a couple more wins, Chuba should absolutely be in the conversation during next season.
