DraftKings Showdown Thursday Night Football: Arizona Cardinals vs San Francisco 49ers
DraftKings Showdown: Cheap Options
Raheem Mostert – $4,800
If Matt Breida sits tomorrow night, Mostert becomes my next favorite back in this backfield. While he only saw 14 snaps last week, he received nine touches on those 14 snaps. If this game is out of hand, it is likely that he will see similar volume making him a value at just under 5k. I will not have more than a sprinkling of Mostert should Breida be active for tomorrow night’s game and will utilize him in builds that have a 49ers dominating game script (Defense, RBs, opposing WRs).
Marquise Goodwin – $3,400
Having not played last week due to a non-injury situation and seeing just 11% of snaps the week before, it is hard to play too many shares of Goodwin should he be active tomorrow night. The Olympian does posses the game-breaking ability that will insert him into some of my 49er onslaught builds, but with so many unknowns he is not a core play.
Jeff Wilson – $2,000
If Matt Breida is out tomorrow night, Wilson is likely to see less than 10% of snaps tomorrow night. He is nothing more than a sprinkle as he is the goal-line back when Tevin Coleman is out and is likely to be scratched if Breida plays.
DraftKings Showdown: Special Teams / Defensive Flex Options
49ers – $7,400
While the Patriots defense has been the talk of the fantasy football community, the 49ers are not so bad themselves. The niners average 14.6 fantasy points per-game and have not had less than 10 since Week 3. You should have shares of this defense in as your Captain and be sure to pair them with their running backs as the Cardinals have allowed the 7th most sacks in the NFL this season.
Zane Gonzalez – $4,000
I have watched the NFL for a long time and can’t recall such an inept red-zone offense as the Cardinals score touchdowns on just 32% of the drives inside the 20. If they can’t score touchdowns, their kicker should be very busy tomorrow night, fire up Zane Gonzalez.
Robbie Gould – $3,800
The Cardinals are not the only ones that struggle in the red-zone as the 49ers score touchdowns on only 45% of drives inside the 20. Both kickers are in play tomorrow night and should be owned on this slate as both have double-digit upside.
DraftKings Showdown: Game Script Thoughts
The 49ers opened as a seven point favorite over the Cardinals on Thursday night football. The line has since been hammered up to 10 while the total has held strong at 43 from the onset. If the Cardinals can force the 49ers into third-and-long they should be able to take advantage of Garoppolo. I would look for the Cardinals to struggle moving the ball while the 49ers put together enough drives to build a lead in which they can control the clock. Hopefully you got out in front of the line movement and bet the niners early in the week, if not buy-it down to 9.5.
@JDEBUCH Showdown ATS 15-9
