Fantasy football picks: Week 9 TNF 49ers vs. Cardinals
Game theory is something that I have had to really work on going into this season, and it really takes your game to the next level once you start to get the hang of it. With single-game slates, game theory is a little bit different due to the 1.5x MVP point slot. Usually, this spot is used for the most popular play on the slate, which is normally a quarterback. However, I will tell you a little secret, very rarely do chalk MVP quarterbacks win you a single game tourney.
For this slate, most people will be looking at playing the 49ers in cash games, and very little of the Cardinals. That is an approach that I support, just make sure you play the right guys. Kittle is my favorite option, and I would plug him into the bonus spot with confidence. My second favorite option is Sanders, and he may go slightly lower owned. He could possibly lead the team in targets, depending on how teams decide to defend Kittle who has been the only option so far this year. If you like a little bit more of a sweat, play Kyler as the MVP in your GPP’s His rushing upside is basically the only thing that will give me interest. For an even bigger sweat, you can go with the ever so unpopular kicker approach for GPP’s, and play my man Gould. The value plays are not great outside of Fitz, and Gould so you might have to be more balanced than normal.
