Duds

DeMar DeRozan (at LAC – $7,100 on DK; $7,800 on FD): One of Aldridge or DeRozan will underperform. My money is on DeRozan to underdeliver simply due to the Clippers perimeter defense and Kawhi being programmed to shut down the man he was traded for.

Jimmy Butler (at ATL – $8,200 on DK; $9,200 on FD): At least in the first game, Butler proved that he’s going to fit in with Miami. And that means his salary might be a tad too high at the moment if he’s not going to play at a superstar level that his salary dictates. There are cheaper options below him that offer better value.

Paul Millsap (at NO – $5,300 on DK; $5,700 on FD): As a middle of the road salary filler on a slow night against a great matchup, Millsap honestly isn’t all that bad. Jabari Parker hasn’t done much this season and Jerami Grant is underdelivering. But Millsap has struggled overall and he is a risk at the moment.

Alex Len (vs. MIA – $5,000 on DK; $5,400 on FD): Len just hasn’t made much of an impact as of yet and at this salary, he’s costing you too much to either perform at value or worse. There are guys below him with a higher ceiling including Zubac and Olynyk.

JJ Redick (vs. DEN – $4,200 on DK; $4,200 on FD): For some reason, things aren’t clicking for Redick in New Orleans. He’s shooting a career worst 35% from three — it’s amazing 35% is a career worst — and 31% overall. Until Redick can establish some kind of rhythm, there isn’t a reason to look his way with other value around him.
