Top-Tier Attackers

Sergio Aguero (Southampton @ Manchester City, $23) – Aguero is at the top of most elite lists week in and week out, and this week is no different.  Aguero just saw Southampton’s defensive scheme on Tuesday and scored twice in a win.  He hasn’t been playing in the league much in the last month, but he should start Saturday.  He had 8 goals in his first 6 EPL games this year, and with a full 90 game Saturday, he’s in a good spot to net his first EPL goal since mid-September.

Raheem Sterling ($24) will cost you another dollar, but he has a safer floor with his peripherals like chances created.  Sterling hasn’t been off to the best start this season, but he did score against Aston Villa last weekend.  He was rested during the mid-week game, so he should be ready to go Saturday.  He has slightly less scoring odds than Aguero, but is a good top stud to target on this slate.

If you want to fade Aguero, but don’t want to pay up for Sterling, Kevin de Bruyne ($22) is a little more affordable and has a similar floor to Sterling with his peripherals.

Sadio Mane (Liverpool @ Aston Villa, $19) – Even with Liverpool on the road they’re still 1.5 goal favorites in this game making me want some exposure to their front 3.  Mane had an incredibly hot start to the EPL season but cooled off lately during a run of more difficult matchups.  Aston Villa is the weakest defense he’ll face since August, and with his price down, I’m looking to take advantage.  Villa has a decent defense, but they won’t be able to provide much resistance to this attacking juggernaut.

Obviously, Mo Salah ($20) is viable as well, but this seems like a Mane game.  Both guys are too cheap for this matchup and will likely come with less ownership than a City stud.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ($20) and Tammy Abraham ($20) are certainly GPP-viable Saturday.  Aubameyang has had 2 matchups against very defensive teams which brought his price down.  The Wolves are another good defensive team but Aubameyang is a world-class scorer who is worth a shot at home.  Abraham is in consideration on this slate largely due to matchup.  Watford is still dead last in the league and have allowed 3rd most goals.  They’ve been limiting their opponents lately and Chelsea is playing on the road, otherwise I would be overweight on Abraham.
