FanDuel NBA breakdown – Value Plays

Willie Cauley-Stein (4,800) – WCS came off the bench playing just 12 minutes, but looked really good in those minutes easily hitting value. There has been no confirmation on how many minutes he will play in this game, but with the Warriors suffering so many injuries, he should play at least a few more minutes, but still likely under 20. Still, he does not need many in order to exceed value, and at a weak position, WCS is my preferred pay down option.

Derrick Rose (5,700) –  Yes I know this is not a value play, but I really wanted to mention Rose in his return to Chicago, which has been very hyped up over this past week. I am not a big narrative guy, but come on, this is as big of a narrative as it gets. The fans in Chicago are still in love with Rose, and for good reason as he was the best thing they saw since Michael Jordan. The match-up is great for him, Chicago is not a great defensive team, and Rose has been logging in the mid 20’s for minutes, leading the team in usage at 35.1%. This price tag is far too cheap for him, and playing in this electric environment in Chicago will be plenty of extra motivation for him to put up his best performance of the season.

Bryn Forbes (4,400) – With Murray resting for this game, Derrick White will be the primary beneficiary in his absence. Bryn should also see a very slight uptick in minutes, getting a few extra minutes sliding over to the point guard spot on occasion. He is already logging right around 30 minutes, and has scored over 20 fantasy points in each game this season. He does not see much of a bump in usage with Murray off the floor, but I would expect him to see an increase in assists, and Bryn should take on some more of the ball handling duties.
