Joseph Conners wears a new jacket

Joseph Conners continues to get marginally more interesting, donning a new jacket. Donning a statement jacket, really. It’s brown, got gold buttons, and most importantly is huge over his shoulders.

Look at those things! Looks like you could store so many snacks up in there. Joseph, if you’re reading, let us know what the deal with this jacket is. So many mysteries to be uncovered.

Right, he has a match too. Another part of slowly getting more interesting: continuing to stack up wins. Much is made of the fact that Conners hasn’t lost in four months. Of course, lost in that impressive sounding fact is that he’s only had two matches on NXT UK during that time, but who’s counting. Remaining undefeated in four months and netting his third win in a row, Conners easily defeats “Big Wavy” Roy Johnson.

Still feeling overlooked despite being on the brand for about as long as anyone, Conners acts particularly mean towards Big Wavy, yelling things like “WELCOME BACK ROY” or “SEE YOU AGAIN SOON ROY” as he slide kicks him into the ring post multiple times.

Big Wavy gets some offense in, even pulling down his singlet straps to signal that things are about to get real, but Conners eye rakes his way out of a potentially big attack and hits his finisher where when you think about it he is actually doing a move to himself, to win. Out of everything on this episode of NXT UK, this match was by far the most in spirit of Halloween. Though that may be just because Conners is pretty creepy all the time, regardless of the season. Who knows.
