Duds

Giannis Antetokounmpo (vs. TOR – $10,700 on DK; $11,500 on FD): As it typically goes with Giannis, this isn’t to say he’s going to give you absolutely nothing. This is to say that he’s not going to be the highest performer on the night, which is where he should be. Toronto is a tough matchup and the back-to-back factor does play a role. Giannis also needs some help, which he hasn’t always been getting this season. But he’s still a guy who is going to give you around value.

Nikola Vucevic (vs DEN – $9,000 on DK; $8,800 on FD): It’s still not there for Vucevic, who continues to underperform. Jokic isn’t exactly performing at the level you would hope he would perform either, but it’s a tough assignment for Vucevic on both ends on floor. Throw in the back-to-back and there are simply better options out there including Siakam and Bryant.

Jamal Murray (at ORL – $7,000 on DK; $6,600 on FD): Murray is typically a boom-or-bust player but in DFS terms, he’s just been fine. But you need more than him given his salary. And I’m not sure it’s there right now, even though this would be a matchup where he outperforms expectations. There are still less risky players below him including including McCollum and even Rozier.

Fred VanVleet (at MIL – $6,300 on DK; $7,000 on FD): The FD price is a tad too high for my liking but he’s a solid option on DK. He’s been a consistent performer as of late but this feels like it’s going to be a Lowry and Siakam game and less of a VanVleet game. Call it a gut feeling.

Jeff Teague (at WAS – $5,900 on DK; $5,700 on FD): In theory, Teague should be a better option with Towns out of the lineup, but I’m not totally buying it. I think it’s more likely going to be the Andrew Wiggins show with other guys filling in the gap. Teague will simply gill in the gap and you should expect a little bit more given his salary and the matchup.
