Everton face Tottenham at Goodison Park on Sunday, Nov. 3. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Two of the most disappointing teams in the Premier League this season have been Everton and Tottenham. On Sunday, Everton host Spurs at Goodison Park, with both teams looking to pick up a much-needed three points.
Everton suffered a heartbreaking loss last weekend. Left-back Lucas Digne scored an own goal in the 94th minute that gifted all three points to Brighton. The loss was the Toffee’s fifth in their last six games. The poor run has dropped the Toffees to 16th in the table and put manager Marco Silva on the hot seat. Another loss could end Silva’s tenure at Goodison Park after only 49 games. After keeping clean sheets in their first two games of the season, Everton have fallen apart defensive, allowing 16 goals in their last eight games.
In their last game, Tottenham lost 2-1 to Liverpool. The loss was Spurs’ third in their last five games. Over their past five games, Tottenham have picked up only four points, dropping the club to 11th in the table. The biggest problem for Tottenham this season has been the club’s inability to win any of their away games. In five away games this season, Tottenham have two points and have been outscored 11-6. If manager Mauricio Pochettino’s team is going to turn around their season, they will need to win an away game. While many Tottenham players have struggled this season, Harry Kane has not. The Tottenham captain has six goals this season and will lead the attack against Everton.
