Duds

James Harden (at MIA – $ on DK; $11,100 on FD): At some point, Harden will find his shooting stroke and he’ll be an even more dangerous man. But for right now, shots are not falling for him and it’s hurting his overall numbers. He still puts up points, but at his salary, you need more from him. Russell Westbrook is looking like a more consistent option for the Rockets.

LeBron James (at SA – $ on DK; $10,900 on FD): As mentioned on a previous slide, this has less to do with LeBron being held in check and more to do with my feeling that LeBron gets Davis going a bit more. We know LeBron is unstoppable when he’s on his game, but after exerting a lot of energy against Dallas, no one would blame him if he let Davis do the heavy lifting.

Donovan Mitchell (at LAC – $ on DK; $8,400 on FD): Mitchell will put up good numbers, but probably not good enough to justify the salary. There is more value below him with guys like Adebayo, Porzingis, and Fox having better matchups. I also like Mike Conley more given how he’s turned his game around as of late.

DeMar DeRozan (vs LAL – $ on DK; $7,700 on FD): DeRozan has not performed well in recent games and the Lakers aren’t exactly the best matchup when you’re struggling to score the ball. He’s picking up assists, which is the good news. But he’s a scorer first and the ball is not dropping right now for him. The Lakers have a strong defense and DeRozan could have more trouble on Sunday.

Marcus Morris (vs. SAC – $ on DK; $5,900 on FD): Morris is coming off a great game against the Celtics, which has caused his salary to rise. And that’s what worries me. Morris’ career is built on inconsistency and one great game could easily be followed by a game where he barely shows up. Given the increase, you’d be buying high on a guy who may not deliver.
