Duds

Nikola Jokcic (vs. MIA – $9,400 on DK; $9,200 on FD): Jokic just isn’t giving you enough bang for your buck right now. And it’s going to be tough sledding against a team as good defensively as Miami. He’ll turn it around at some point, but until he does it, it’s tough to trust him to get it going, especially at this price.

Nikola Vucevic (at OKC – $8,400 on DK; $8,600 on FD): The things just written about Jokic also apply to Vucevic. He has big game potential, but it’s not happening for him right now. And the Thunder are one of the better defensive teams in the league. The rebounds could be there for him, which would certainly help, but there’s better value below him.

DeMar DeRozan (at ATL – $7,500 on DK; $7,600 on FD): DeRozan has been consistent, but consistent hasn’t been good enough at this price. His scoring isn’t there right now and while it’s possible he turns it around against the Hawks and their average defense, the price is just too high for what he is giving you. That said, he shouldn’t hurt you too bad if you decide to take him.

Zach LaVine (vs. LAL – $7,300 on DK; $7,400 on FD): LaVine has been underperforming in recent games and a matchup against the Lakers and their stout defense likely isn’t a recipe for success. It’s possible he raises his game as he goes up against LeBron and Davis, but it’s a tough ask given the team around him.

Chris Paul (vs ORL – $6,600 on DK; $7,500 on FD): Paul has been consistent, and even though the price has dropped, you need a little bit more out of him. This is a tough matchup when Orlando’s defense and Paul has looked more passive this season as he knows he’s not long for OKC and is giving way to the likes for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
