. 5-5. Previous: . Tennessee Titans. 18. team. 35

Recap: Mike Vrabel’s unpredictable team was looking to once again get back to the .500 mark as they hosted the first-place Kansas City Chiefs. The Titans would fall behind 10-0 in the first quarter but kept scratching and clawing and would surge ahead thanks in part to Derrick Henry’s 68-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. The Chiefs would rally to take a nine-point lead early in the fourth quarter. However, Henry was part of a Titans’ ground attack that rolled up 225 yards – 188 and two scores by the former Heisman Trophy winner. Ryan Tannehill’s 23-yard TD pass to Adam Humphries and a two-point conversion run with 23 seconds to play was the game-winner.

Next Week: The Titans will take a little vacation and when Vrabel’s team returns to the field, it will be at home and in a rematch with the Jaguars. Back in Week 3 on a Thursday night at Jacksonville, quarterback Marcus Mariota was sacked nine times and Tennessee didn’t get on the scoreboard until the fourth quarter in a 20-7 setback.

Playoff hopes: They have arguably been the NFL’s most unpredictable team in recent seasons and 2019 has been no different. While he’s been far from perfect, Tannehill has been steady and has shown he can make the big plays down the stretch. Tennessee is once again at the .500 mark and plays four of its last six games within the division.

17. team. 51. . 5-4. Previous: . Los Angeles Rams

Recap: It was a battle of two teams headed in opposite directions as the up-and-down Rams made their way to Heinz Field for the first time since 2011 and took on the rejuvenated Pittsburgh Steelers. Sean McVay’s club got its only touchdown of the game 14 seconds into the contest as defensive end Dante Fowler Jr. scooped up a fumble and returned it 26 yards to pay dirt. Quarterback Jared Goff threw for 243 yards but was sacked four times and picked off twice. He also fumbled three times and one of those miscues was taken back 43 yards for a score. The Rams had their chances late in the game but McVay’s offense just couldn’t make the big play down the stretch.

Next Week: The last time the Rams hosted the Chicago Bears was four years ago in St. Louis. And the home team was on the very short end of a 37-13 setback. In fact, it was the club’s sixth loss in the last seven clashes with the franchise from the Windy City. A year ago at Soldier Field (Week 14), McVay’s club was stifled by the Bears, 15-6.

Playoff hopes: From winners of their first three games to four losses in their last six contests, the defending NFC champions don’t resemble the team that won 13 games and a conference title a year ago. The Rams’ offense failed to score a touchdown and Goff’s issues with turnovers continued. McVay’s squad doesn’t resemble a playoff team.
