NBA FanDuel Player Picks For Nov. 12
By Hans Geevers
The NBA presents the Fanduel/DFS community with an eight game slate this evening. Let’s try and find the best Fanduel player picks for tonight’s slate!
Before I begin my Fanduel player selections for tonight, I quickly wanted to make reference to relevant injury news. Sacramento Kings point guard De’Aaron Fox is out indefinitely due to injury. His absence will have a ripple down effect with regard to Kings players that have the potential for increased Fanduel point production this evening.
Philadelphia has ruled out Al Hoford for tonight’s game, and as of the writing, guard Ben Simmons is listed as questionable. Celtics guard Kemba Walker left the fourth quarter of last night’s game due to an apparent injury. His status for tonight’s game is currently not known. Miami Heat guard Justise Winslow is out this evening due to a concussion.
Additionally, Gordan Hayword continues to be out indefinitely for the Boston Celtics.
Point Guards
Damian Lillard-Portland Trailblazers $10,500
First of all, I love the fact that this game is expected to have the most total points on the entire eight game slate. Lillard should score Fanduel points early and often in this fast paced match up with the Sacramento Kings.
I should also mention that the Kings will be presenting a starting lineup minus point guard De’Aaron Fox. I think the lack of Fox’s defense will make Damian’s task of scoring at will that much easier tonight. I won’t waste your time with this man’s statistics. I think it’s rather clear that Mr. Lillard is an obvious play in all DFS formats tonight.
Corey Joseph-Sacramento Kings $3,700
After spending up for Lillard I am going with a value play at my second point guard position. Arriving on the Fanduel slate at the nice price of only $3,700 is the King’s Corey Joseph. Joseph should continue to see a substantial increase in playing time due to the absence of starting point guard De’Aaron Fox.
in his last games versus the Hawks on Friday, Joseph logged 28 minutes and 24.2 Fanduel points. I think Joseph sees more playing tonight. Additionally, I firmly believe that Joseph will have an outstanding fantasy game this evening in a game that, in my opinion, will have little to no legitimate defense being displayed on the court.
So for me, getting point guard Corey Joseph in your Fanduel lineups is the absolute smart play tonight. The high upside that Joseph has in this game can’t be denied.
Shooting Guards
Jimmy Butler-Miami Heat $9,400
Butler has been playing outstanding in November. In the four games played this month, Butler is averaging 43 Fanduel points a game. That is the kind of consistency that I want in my Fanduel lineups!
I also like the fact that the Heat have not played since November 8. Butler should arrive on the court tonight with fresh legs. Additionally, I think Butler will benefit from the absence of guard Justise Winslow as well.
Zach Levine-Chicago Bulls $7,900
Zach draws a New York Knicks team that has struggled against shooting guards all season. Just for clarity, the Knicks allow the fourth most fantasy points to opposing shooting guards.
Levine certainly has statistical data to support that he should perform at a high level tonight. Over his last five games, Levine has averaged 32.74 Fanduel points a game.
Small Forwards
Lebron James-Los Angeles Lakers $11,500
I just can’t see a possible way that I can justify fading James tonight. Let’s just take a look at a sample size of Lebron’s last five basketball games. Over his last five games, James has an outstanding 59.9 Fanduel points a game.
I should also note the fact that James will face a Phoenix Suns team that is currently 21st in the league in Fanduel points allowed to opposing small forwards.
Tobias Harris-Philadelphia 76ers $7,300
I mentioned earlier in this article that Al Hoford would not be available for tonight’s game versus the Cleveland Cavaliers. I think the main beneficiary of Al Hoford’s absence from a fantasy perspective will be Tobias Harris.
It also has to be said that Harris has been playing some outstanding basketball. In the month of November, Harris is averaging 38.14 Fanduel points a game. With Hoford out, I fully expect Harris to exceed his normal fantasy production and put up outstanding numbers in tonight’s game.
Power Forward
Domantas Sabonis-Indiana Pacers $9,500
Sabonis has been quite simply playing outstanding for the Pacers. Over his last three games, Sabonis is averaging a very impressive 49.4 Fanduel points a game.
Additionally, Pacers center Myles Turner continues to be out of the lineup due to an ongoing ankle injury. Sabonis will no doubt continue to benefit from Turner’s absence from the lineup as well.
Centers
Nikola Jokic-Denver Nuggets $9,000
I love the fact that Jokic draws an Atlanta Hawks team that is currently 17th in the league in fantasy points allowed to opposing centers. Jokic should have no problem producing for your fantasy lineups this evening.
Rudy Gobert-Utah Jazz $8,200
Brooklyn has given up the second most fantasy points to opposing centers. I generally don’t like going with players on a back to back. However, because Gobert is facing an awful Brooklyn defense I am making an exception.
