BOSTON – NOVEMBER 11: Boston Celtics’ Kemba Walker and fans in the background celebrate after Walker hit a fourth quarter three-pointer to put Boston ahead 101-94. DraftKings NBA Point Guards:

Best Bets:

Calling Kemba a dud on Wednesday is a bit out of line. He still hit value. It was just a little disappointing considering what we were expecting going in. This is another elite matchup for Kemba, but there is blowout potential against the hapless Warriors. The Celtics don’t employ load management all that much, but they will take the chance to rest some guys if they get up big here, which they should. That said, Kemba will have a big part in this getting out of hand. I think Walker is a solid play regardless.

Malcolm Brogdon has slowed down a little since a scorching start, but that just means that Brogdon is only hitting value instead of going way above. There’s a lot of potential for Brogdon here in a pace up game with the Rockets. I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if Brogdon outscored Kemba tonight.

Honorable Mention:

The price still looks low on Ben Simmons, but I do admit that it’s fitting. His floor is a lot lower than most at this range, and until Simmons becomes a more prolific scorer. The upside is always there, but rarely is it even realized. You can do a lot worse for the price.

Chalk Terry Rozier could be a thing again tonight, but I still don’t trust it. Rozier’s price is up to the point where Rozier has only hit value three times for that price. Detroit is solid defensively, so I don’t really feel like messing with Rozier or Graham. Batum is still out, so I get it, but if Bacon returns, that’s going to cut into their production as well.

It’s Mike Conley’s turn to return to the place where he spent most of his career. This was an amicable split, and Memphis was always good for Conley. I can see him having a nice game in front of his old fans, but keep in mind that Conley has a lot around him this year. The chances of him dropping a 40 are very slim.

Dark Horse:

The defensive shortcomings of Isaiah Thomas are well documented. Even so, I don’t expect Jeff Teague to have a huge game here. He may have a few more opportunities, but that’s enough at this price. When it comes down to it though, I think I prefer using Thomas himself instead of the guy against him. That is rarely the case.

Rajon Rondo put up 23.5 DraftKings points in just 14 minutes in his season debut. The price point here is way too low. It was a vintage Rondo line in which he stuffed the stat sheet in every way possible. I’m a huge fan of Rondo for this price even if he is still on a minutes limit.

Cory Joseph was a bust in his first start in place of Fox, scoring just 18 DraftKings points in 38 minutes. The poor shooting was only part of the problem for Joseph. He started at point guard and only notched three assists. To me, that’s the bigger problem, and also what makes him a massive risk.

Rookie Carsen Edwards racked up 31 DraftKings points over 20 minutes at minimum price for the Celtics on Wednesday. I expect Edwards to get good run here too in what should ultimately be a blowout of the Warriors. Even if this does manage to stay close, the absence of Hayward has opened up minutes for those Boston guards willing to take them.
