MORGANTOWN, WV – OCTOBER 05: Texas Longhorns wide receiver Devin Duvernay (6) is lifted in the air by Texas Longhorns offensive lineman Zach Shackelford (56) after scoring on a 13-yard run during the fourth quarter of the college football game between the Texas Longhorns and the West Virginia Mountaineers on October 5, 2019, at Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium in Morgantown, WV. Early DraftKings college football wide receiver picks November 16

Top Tier:

For all the notoriety that the Cal defense has, they have still allowed 254.9 passing yards per game. Wazzu could go for double that here. Both Easop Winston and Brian Arconado are good plays, but they still cannibalize each other’s value. I would rather play roulette with Devonta Smith and Jerry Jeudy with Alabama because they both have higher floors.

Devin Duvernay leads the nation in receptions per game. Enough said.

If you are hitching your wagon to Sean Clifford, I strongly suggest using KJ Hamler I well. I don’t know that I would use one without the other here though. This is a place to use both or neither.

I think I would go with the more consistent Justyn Ross over Tee Higgins here against Wake, but this secondary is so spotty that I have no issues using both. The blowout potential really lowers the ceiling on both though.

Middle Tier:

The losses of Sage Surratt and Scotty Washington doesn’t have me kicking the tires on the Washington State receivers. It has me moving all my chips to Kendall Hinton. There is risk here with the Clemson defense, but it wouldn’t shock me if Hinton led all receivers in targets in the games included in this DraftKings college football tournament.

Baylor put the clamps on Jalen Reagor last weekend, but Texas Tech is allowing 308.6 passing yards per game. Reagor is going to have plenty of room in this one. I see Reagor as having a lot of upside for a fairly low price. He’s one of my favorite mid range plays along with Deshaunte Jones.

Believe it or not, Kansas actually has their own dynamic duo at wide receiver. I mentioned that Oklahoma State has had some issues in pass defense. I’m a bigger fan of Stephon Robinson here, but Andrew Parchment can really take the top off of a defense.

Iowa State tight end Charlie Kolar has four touchdown receptions in the last three games. Kolar isn’t targeted much outside of the red zone, but he’s the first one that Purdy looks to inside the 20. Kolar is touchdown dependent, but I think he’ll get one against Texas here.

Bargain Shoppers:

Indiana may find themselves in a situation where they have to throw to keep up. That’s perfect for Nick Westbrook and Whop Philyor. I do think Philyor has more upside here just because of the volume, but Westbrook is the guy who will break one. Philyor for just $4,900 looks really cheap though.

Dillon Stoner came up huge with Wallace out last week, and he’s in line for another big game. The Cowboys are going to throw less than they did with Wallace in there, but you can bet Stoner is going to destroy value here.

This is the time to use Albert O. Missouri is facing a defense that locks down receivers and gets after the quarterback. Albert is going to be Bryant’s best friend here. Albert O. is the only Missouri guy I would consider here.

I don’t think Wake is just going to stop throwing, and I do think that Clemson is going to try to take Hinton out of this. Someone will have to step up. Steven Claude and Waydale Jones are the most likely. Both are a risk, but someone is going to have to make catches here.
