Tight Ends

Mark Andrews, Baltimore Ravens vs HOU

If you go with Lamar Jackson at quarterback and are looking to stack him with a receiver, Mark Andrews is your guy. Marquise Brown has been good when he’s played, but he has had a whale of a time staying healthy and is questionable again this week.

Andrews scored two touchdowns and over 20 fantasy football points last week and has consistently been Jackson’s favorite target all season long. He has had his ups and downs, as every at this position has, but Andrews is my top option at tight end this week.

Jared Cook, New Orleans Saints vs TB

Jared Cook is alive! And you may even say well with Drew Brees back under center. Cooke caught six balls for 74 yards with Brees at QB last week after missing multiple games with an ankle injury.

Before his injury Cook caught a touchdown in two straight games after an abysmal start to the season. He faces a Tampa team that is one of the worst in the league against opposing fantasy football tight ends, and will look to continue building that chemistry with Brees.

O.J. Howard, Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs NO

O.J. Howard is alive! After being shopped at the trade deadline with an absence of usage and production all season long, Howard finally got involved and caught a touchdown against the Cardinals last week.

I know it was the Cardinals, but Howard was targeted seven times, which is a good sign for him going forward. Maybe that matchup was what he needed to get back in the gameplan and back in fantasy football lineups.

Eric Ebron, Indianapolis Colts vs JAC

Last week Eric Ebron was targeted 12 times. 12 times! Although he only caught five of them and the quarterback was Brian Hoyer and not usual starter Jacoby Brissett, that is a good sign for Ebron.

Ebron had been getting outperformed a bit by Jack Doyle over the last couple weeks, so hopefully this is a sign that the dynamic Ebron will be more involved in the Colts gameplan this week against the division rival Jaguars.

Ross Dwelley, San Francisco 49ers vs AZ

This tight end is playing against the Arizona Cardinals. That’s the analysis. George Kittle is unlikely to play again this week, leaving Ross Dwelley as the starting tight end for the Niners. Dwelley was targeted seven times last week with Kittle out, and will likely see even more work and production in his second straight start against the worst defenses against opposing fantasy football tight ends.
