DraftKings NBA picks November 17: King James III
By Mike Marteny
DraftKings NBA Power Forwards:
Best Bets:
Anthony Davis is capable of eating the Hawks alive. I don’t think he will since LeBron is running the show, but he still could. So, you have to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do you, punk? I don’t. I’m not letting A.D. shoot holes in my lineup.
This may be the first time all season that I use Aaron Gordon. The Washington defense is not good at any position, and despite Gordon being arguably the most maddening and inconsistent player in DFS, the upside is real. We could see it here.
Honorable Mention:
That’s now four straight games of 31 or more DraftKings points for Paul Millsap. He’s not the player that he once was, but Millsap is still a very strong play for this price range. Denver is dominated by guards, but that doesn’t mean the bigs are just window dressing. They are still very good players.
Draymond Green isn’t going to help the Warriors in replacing the scoring of Russell, but he will most certainly see an uptick in rebounds from all these inferior shooters launching shots trying to make up for it. Draymond might have 30 rebounds tonight. He is likely worth the risk here.
Kenrich Williams had his best games when Favors was sidelined. We could get a glimpse of that tonight. If Favors is out, I like Williams. The true amount of his upside depends on the status of Favors and Ingram.
Dark Horses:
The sun shined on Mo Wagner’s ass on Friday. Want to bet on it happening again? I sure don’t. Orlando is much better up front than Minnesota. Rui Hachimura will be able to hold his own here, but the upside isn’t high enough for me to mess with this situation.
Aminu is a must-play again if he stars for Jonathan Isaac. If he doesn’t, I don’t like the price. Aminu did almost nothing until his start on Friday night. His outstanding performance should get him some more court time, but it will all be scraps behind Isaac and Gordon.
