8. Ja’Marr Chase, WR, LSU

There has been no shortage of love given to LSU quarterback Joe Burrow this season, especially in these Heisman rankings and the race in general. However, it’s time to start giving his pass-catchers some of the love that they deserve as well and that’s what lands wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase at No. 8 in the rankings after Week 12.

Chase absolutely torched Ole Miss on Saturday evening in a big night for the LSU offense, catching eight balls for 227 yards and three touchdowns. As impressive as those numbers are, they are just another impressive outing for the breakout star in Baton Rouge. For the season, Chase now has 57 catches for 1,116 yards and 13 touchdowns. He’s a newcomer to the rankings but it might just be him finally getting the love he deserves.

7. Travis Etienne, RB, Clemson

Clemson’s demolition of Wake Forest on Saturday night featured a whole lot of Trevor Lawrence dicing up the Demon Deacons through the air. The star quarterback threw four touchdown passes on the day and has very much been hitting his stride. However, running back Travis Etienne remains wholly impressive working with Lawrence, submitting another fantastic performance in Week 12.

Etienne carried the ball 16 times for 121 yards and a touchdown in the 52-3 victory for the Tigers, adding three catches for 37 yards as well. Etienne now has at least 100 yards rushing in six consecutive games and has nine touchdowns over his last five outings. The Clemson standout also has 1,335 yards rushing and 14 touchdowns along with 252 receiving yards and two additional scores on the year, making a strong case to push for a finalist spot.
