3. Anaheim Ducks

The Anaheim Ducks are another potential popular destination for the Devils to trade Hall to, or for Anaheim to sign Hall should it reach that point come July 1.

The Ducks are in a unique situation where they might be able to rebuild on the fly if Anaheim acquired Hall. He’s familiar with the Western Conference and its style of play – and a second time around out west could benefit Hall and his overall production.

Hall would more than likely thrive in Anaheim’s lineup – a team that has support at the center position but could use an all-star winger and one who’s a former MVP.

While Anaheim doesn’t have a ton depth in its prospect pool, there are some assets it may consider parting ways with for a skater such as Hall.

Immediate skaters from Anaheim involved in a deal with New Jersey could be Rickard Rakell or youngster Max Comtois; who at 20-year-old could fit in better with a rebuilding Jersey team. Then there’s prospect Trevor Zegras, who also skated alongside Jack Hughes with the United States National Development Program. If Anaheim is serious about winning sooner and not waiting – it’s going to have to part ways with some noticeable assets that may sting at first.

Draft picks would play a bigger part between these two teams than actual players as well.

The big question with these two teams is how high is the asking price for Hall. Is Anaheim willing to cough up the right compensation that Jersey would demand?
