Duds

Harrison Barnes (vs PHO – $6,000 on DK; $6,100 on FD): Barnes is a third option, second at best, and the salary is a tad too high for what he’s giving you. If he’s not putting up big scoring numbers, he’s not always giving you much of anything else. There are better value options below him.

Draymond Green (at MEM – $6,200 on DK; $7,100 on FD): It’s a good matchup as the Grizzlies are weak against the position. But my complaints about Green remain the same. He’s not a scorer and this Warriors squad isn’t going to get him easy assists. So he’s simply not offering you enough value at this salary.

Jonas Valanciunas (vs GS – $6,800 on DK; $7,800 on FD): The problem for Valanciunas right now is minutes. He’s putting up good numbers is those minutes but you need more at the salary. He does have a great matchup in front of him but you can’t take on this much salary only to see him play less than 23 minutes.

JaVale McGee (vs OKC – $5,000 on DK; $4,600 on FD): Even though it’s not the highest salary, McGee’s salary is still too high for what he’s giving you right now. The minutes aren’t always there and it’s tough to produce while on the bench. There are better options below him at much better salaries with higher upside.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (at LAL – $6,100 on DK; $7,300 on FD): SGA has been inconsistent at best this season. He has a relatively high ceiling but the salary is too high and it’s a tough match-up on the back to back. Chris Paul, who is playing great, and Gallinari, who can get hot in a hurry, are at lower salaries and are better options on the Thunder.
