NBA DraftKings – top value point guards

Rajon Rondo vs. Oklahoma City Thunder ($4,500)

Rondo started his season slightly later then the rest of the Los Angeles Lakers squad, but has shown he hasn’t missed a step. He recorded 23.5 fantasy points in his season debut against the Phoenix Suns, a low 10.75 fantasy points versus Sacramento, and then 24 fantasy points in 24 minutes versus the Atlanta Hawks. The one downside to Rondo is that he has been on a minute restriction with his first week back in to action so we’ll have to monitor it up until lock. For five times his value, we’ll need him to hit 22.5 DK points, which shouldn’t be a struggle for him.

The Oklahoma City Thunder are allowing opposing point guards to average 21 points, seven rebounds and four assists per game. They are also giving up 47.65 fantasy points to opposing point guards. With that being said, the minutes restriction on Rondo may cut that in half, projecting him around 23.8 fantasy points for tonight’s matchup.

Tyus Jones vs. Golden State Warriors ($3,700)

The Golden State Warriors are not a very good team at all so targeting their team opposing bench guys is usually a good move. Tyus Jones is one of them and at a very affordable cost. He has put up back to back performances of returning his value with 19 and 16.5 fantasy points which came against the Utah Jazz and Denver Nuggets. Jones is also averaging seven points and five assists per game. Another positive note is in the past five games Tyus Jones has only gone below five assists once.

On the defensive end of things, the Golden State Warriors are allowing opposing point guards to average 24 points, six rebounds and five assists per game. They are also giving up 48.17 fantasy points to the position. Sticking with the season that the Warriors are having, Jones should see a great opportunity to exceed his five times value tonight of 18.5 fantasy points.
