NBA DraftKings – top value centers

JaVale McGee vs. Oklahoma City Thunder ($5,000)

It’s sometimes hard to tell who to target as value on this Los Angeles Lakers squad, especially with them rostering JaVale McGee and Dwight Howard. With Anthony Davis being questionable, JaVale McGee could see a boost if they officially rule him out by lock. McGee has cooled back down after his monstrous game of 54.8 fantasy points versus the Golden State Warriors. Against Sacramento he recorded 12.3 fantasy points and versus the Atlanta Hawks McGee recorded 18.8 fantasy points. He holds a usage rating of 17% while averaging 1.09 fantasy points per minute.

On the defensive side of things, the Oklahoma City Thunder give up 53.40 fantasy points. They allow centers to average the stat line of 21 points and 16 rebounds with a lonely two assists per game. You take the risk of playing the wrong center in Los Angeles, but with the right matchup, McGee can easily dominate and exceed value.

Aron Baynes vs. Sacramento Kings ($4,900)

Usually attacking the Sacramento Kings at the center position is a thing, but this season has been the complete opposite. The Kings actually allow just the third fewest fantasy points to the center position with just 48.02. That makes this a great GPP value play with Aron Baynes.

Baynes is currently at a usage rating of 21% while averaging 14 points, five rebounds and three assists in just 24 minutes of playing time. He’s averaging 1.21 fantasy points per minute while averaging a total of 29 fantasy points per game. `Before his poor performance versus the Atlanta Hawks with 7.3 fantasy points, Baynes recorded six straight games of 30 or more fantasy points. If you aren’t paying up at center, Aron Baynes could be a great GPP play at a low salary price.
