2020 NFL mock draft: Tua Tagovailoa falls in the first round
By Brad Weiss
The Green Bay Packers were another top team in the NFC who had the week off in Week 11, and we will get to see them back in action this week in a primetime matchup on Sunday night. In that game, the Packers will head West to take on the San Francisco 49ers, who currently hold the best record in the entire NFC.
Aaron Rodgers is once again playing at an MVP level, and that has been pretty impressive considering the talent he is throwing the ball to. Davante Adams has missed significant time due to injury, but that has not stopped Rodgers from playing some of the better football we have seen him play in a while.
Green Bay needs to add to their wide receiver group next April, and this draft class is loaded with talent at that position group. Tyler Johnson from Minnesota has helped lead the Golden Gophers to the top of the Big Ten this season, and based on what he can do on the outside, and across the middle, he would be a perfect new target for Rodgers next season.
The Seattle Seahawks had the week off in Week 11, and will continue their dominant run this season on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. For Seattle, they have gotten another MVP-type season out of quarterback Russell Wilson, who continues to show he is one of the elite at his position in the NFL.
While not many expected this kind of season from Seattle, you have to agree that they could be one of the last teams standing in the NFC this season. If the NFC does go through Seattle, they have to be considered the favorite, as they play in one of the hardest buildings to win in if you are the away team.
Looking at their roster, they need help on both sides of the ball, including up front on offense, and in the defensive backfield. Sitting at No. 28 overall, they may choose to pick one of the more elite safeties in this draft class, and based on what we saw from Earl Thomas during his time in Seattle, this is a coaching staff that knows how to get the most out of their safeties.
