2020 NFL mock draft: Tua Tagovailoa falls in the first round

New England Patriots. Kenneth Murray. 31. player. 47. . Linebacker

The New England Patriots did not have their best game offensively on Sunday, scoring only 17 points against the Philadelphia Eagles on the road. While Tom Brady was upset with his offense after the game, the fact is, they are currently 9-1, and beating a team like the Eagles on the road is never an easy task.

New England has the pieces in place to once again represent the AFC in the Super Bowl, and this season, their defense has been downright elite at times. Still, there can never be enough talent on that side of the ball, and a defensive genius like Bill Belichick would love to coach up a player like Kenneth Murray from Oklahoma.

Murray is a hybrid linebacker who can play on the inside, or out, and you can only imagine the kind of schemes Belichick could work up for him in this Pats defense. Brady is going to be a free agent next season, so there is always the question of whether or not he comes back, so why not load up on defense just in case he decides to play elsewhere in 2020.

C.J. Henderson. 32. player. 42. . Cornerback. San Francisco 49ers

It took everything they had against division rival Arizona this past weekend, but the San Francisco 49ers were able to pull out the victory, and still have the best record in the NFC. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo put the offense on his back, consistently leading the team to scores when they fell behind, as they escaped the upset in front of the home crowd.

Looking at the 49ers roster, they have the talent on both sides of the ball to make a long run this season, but they do have some age as well. At cornerback, Richard Sherman is still playing at a high level, but it would make sense to bring in a young corner like C.J. Henderson from Florida to take over his spot as CB1 when he eventually retires.

So there it is, our latest 2020 NFL mock draft. The San Francisco 49ers have a tall task ahead of them this weekend against the Green Bay Packers, so we will get another gauge on how good this team actually is. If Jimmy G continues to play like he did this past weekend, they could be the last team standing in the NFC.
