DraftKings college football running back picks November 20

Top Tier:

Even if Koback were healthy, I would still consider Jaret Patterson the top back on this slate. Toledo is allowing 199.1 rushing yards per game and that average is likely going to get worse after this one. Patterson has at least 130 rushing yards in five of the last seven games. One of the ones he missed was when he got some rest against Akron. Patterson should be your cornerstone tonight.

The only question is who is number 2. Jaylon Bester racked up 85 yards on just nine carries last week, but he scored twice for the second straight week and third time in four weeks. This promises to be a lower volume week for Bester, but the Redhawks are going to score a lot before he departs. Chances are Bester gets at least one of those.

Middle Tier:

My choice is Shakif Seymour. Seymour has 402 yards and three touchdowns to go with five receptions since Koback went down. Buffalo’s defense is solid enough, but Seymour is the focal point of the Rockets offense with Koback and Guadagni out. I expect Seymour to hit triple digits again. The touchdown could be the tricky part.

Yep, Kevin Marks is a backup. This “backup” has double digit DraftKings points in nine straight games. The only teams to hold him under were the first two weeks of the season. One was FCS Robert Morris. The other was Penn State. Marks may be a backup, but he’s more consistent than most starters.

Bargain Shoppers:

That leaves Akron. I’ll save you some grief. Use any other backup over an Akron back. This team gets behind early and often and can’t run behind that atrocious line anyway. Tyre Shelton and Ronnie Jones are much better picks.

Actually, Jones may be the sleeper of the night. Seymour saw plenty of carries as Koback’s backup. The same is true for Jones now as Seymour’s backup. Jones ran 11 times and scored a touchdown last week and he’s just $3,800!
