DraftKings EuroLeague Guards:

Nick Calathes continues to run wild through the EuroLeague, posting his fifth consecutive double double on Wednesday. Munich isn’t going to top him either. Calathes has the highest floor of any of the star players today with a ceiling that’s as good as anyone. The only question is whether you can make his $13,800 price tag work.

Guard thins out pretty quickly since I’m really not interested in Mike James or Campazzo here. Kostas Sloukas is the next one I would consider with Nando out. Even so, Sloukas hasn’t really taken on a much larger role. The Fenerbahce frontcourt has picked up most of the slack. I don’t view Sloukas as a must have today, and with the strength of the frontcourt, I likely wont have any shares at all.

Cory Higgins has been outstanding lately, but I’m still not brave enough to roll him out there against Tel Aviv. Austin Hollins only took six shots earlier this week, so I’m not really looking at him either. The first guard I really feel the need to roster past Calathes is Maodo Lo. He had a triumphant return against Olympiacos with 36.25 DraftKings points, his highest total of the season.

The upside is there with Jimmer since he all shooter, but that translates even less to the EuroLeague than it does to the NBA. Luca Vildoza is a touch cheaper in a better matchup and has far more substance.

Well, what do you know? Baskonia starts Nik Stauskas and he erupts for 30 DraftKings points. Baskonia has some good guards, so a starting slot isn’t guaranteed every game, but when Stauskas starts, he’s well worth the price.

Janis Strelnieks kept his hot streak going, pushing 30 DraftKings points again. Expect another strong outing here against Real Madrid, though the matchup is a bit tougher.

Alex Renfroe has erupted lately, racking up 60 DraftKings points in just 41 minutes over the last two rounds. That’s part of the reason Hollins’ production has been down. Renfroe has a good chance to keep the hot streak going against Baskonia.

If you need a deep value dive, Theo Maledon put up 24.25 DraftKings points in just 15 minutes last round. He’s an efficient player, but foul trouble has plagued him early on. That limits Maledon’s upside, but the price is so low, it’s not going to destroy you if he only plays 15 minutes.
