NBA Draftkings – Top valued shooting guards
Wesley Matthews versus Portland Trailblazers ($3,800)
The Portland Trailblazers will be without Damian Lillard once again Thursday and that leaves room for more potential with these Milwaukee Bucks players. Wesley Matthews doesn’t have the prettiest stat line or even an appealing fantasy points per minute, but he does have great GPP potential on this two game slate. He’s averaging just .54 fantasy points per minute with a usage rating of 11%. In his past five games he has been over 20 fantasy points once while barely reaching 10 fantasy points in the others.
We know that the Trailblazers struggle with guards so that’s where the hope in this risk play comes in. The Trailblazers allow opposing shooting guards to average 20 points, seven rebounds and four assist per game. However, they do only give up 38.97 fantasy points to the position which has them ranked as the sixth fewest points in the NBA.
Anfernee Simons versus Milwaukee Bucks ($4,700)
Now this really isn’t a cheap value play but it’s still a pretty good one. Simons is currently averaging .8 fantasy points per minute with a stat line of just 11 points, two rebounds and one assist per game. He is coming off of a nice performance of 24.3 fantasy points against New Orleans. With it being a small slate though his price is at a demanding point for him to return value.
With how good and fast this Milwaukee Bucks team is, they still allowing a decent showing for opposing shooting guards. They currently give up 41.91 fantasy points to the position while allowing them to average 22 points, seven rebounds and five assists per game. So with all of this information put together it may be okay and not as risky to play Anfernee Simons, but I would still have a low exposure to him.
