NFL DraftKings – Top valued wide receivers
Taylor Gabriel versus New York Giants ($4,200)
Lets get even riskier as we move on with these slides as Taylor Gabriel and the Chicago Bears go up against the New York Giants this Sunday. Obviously the quarterback situation is messy and it doesn’t really matter who starts under center, things may get worse for this offense. Taylor Gabriel should bring in very little ownership and could make for an amazing play. He’s averaging just 10.9 fantasy points per game and is averaging around six targets per game. He has had two nice weeks back to back with 13.8 and 12.7 fantasy points. Now on to the defense that he gets to face.
The New York Giants are currently giving up 259 yards through the air and giving up the third most points per game with 29. They are also giving up the third most points to opposing receivers with 41.53 fantasy points per game. They are allowing a catch rating of 70% per game. But like I mentioned already, it may not depend on who starts under center for Chicago, this offense could be horrendous on Sunday. If not, Taylor Gabriel may just shine.
Paul Richardson Jr. versus Detroit Lions ($4,000)
Are you crazy enough to play Dwayne Haskins Jr. this Sunday? Well get even crazier and pair him with Paul Richardson Jr. (The Junior Pairing!) who should be returning from injury as he was a full participant at practice. The receiving yards haven’t been there this season as he is only averaging 26 yards per game plus seven fantasy points. Richardson has sadly had two performances where he went over the 10 fantasy point mark, but with this matchup he should have a greater chance at doing it once again.
The Detroit Lions are pretty terrible on defense this season as they give up the third most passing yards with 288 yards per game but they also give up the third most total yards with 412. They are also giving up a 60% completion rating on this season allowing 13 receptions per game to receivers. When it comes to total fantasy points to opposing receivers, they give up a total of 38.6 fantasy points.
These two receivers they are extremely risky plays with the offenses that they play in, but with the low ownership and their matchups that they have, they can easily pay off in terms of value this Sunday.
NFL DraftKings – Top valued tight ends
Dallas Goedert versus Seattle Seahawks ($3,700)
The tight end position is usually cut and dry when it comes to who or where to pay up at so finding value is sometimes rather tricky. Dallas Goedert is a pretty good option this weekend even though the Eagles face the Seattle Seahawks. Goedert has strung together some nice performances in the past five weeks with recording 9.8, 15.9, 11.2, 7.9, and 12.6 fantasy points. He’s averaging 28.6 yards per game while averaging 5 targets for 8.1 fantasy points per game.
Now the Seattle Seahawks are a tough defense to face, but they are currently giving up 14.15 fantasy points to opposing tight ends, allowing five receptions off of seven targets. They have been absolutely solid the past two weeks giving up just 47 yards to the position. They’ve had some down games before that though, giving up 52 fantasy points in total in the five games before hand. Even with a healthy Zach Ertz, paying down to $3,700 for Dallas Goedert is a great way to go to this Sunday.
Jason Witten versus New England Patriots ($3,500)
Usually playing any tight end versus the New England Patriots is a bad option, but things haven’t been good for them lately. The Patriots have now given up 19 and 12 fantasy points to opposing tight ends and have allowed them to score one touchdown in the past three games. The Patriots only give up around 10 fantasy points per game off of four receptions. With the way they have been getting beaten by tight ends and with this Dallas offense, Jason Witten may just be a great, cheap play.
Witten is averaging just nine fantasy points per game while averaging 37 yards per game. He started the season off with double digit performances but has since cooled down, with minor consistency. He’s averaging four receptions per game while averaging nine yards per reception. With Jason Witten being on the “older” side of age, he is still a nice but small size of usage for this offense and all he needs is one or two mid size plays for a touchdown and we have our exceeded value tight end.
