Night DraftKings college football quarterback picks November 23

Top Tier:

I can’t think of a good reason to fade Jalen Hurts. Not just this week, but ever. The 39.28 DraftKings points last week was his third lowest total of the season. That’s a superb floor that’s worth paying for.

You can get both Joe Burrow and Jalen Hurts in your lineup. It’s not easy, but it shouldn’t be. There’s enough value that I’m comfortable with to pull it off, but show we? This reeks of a blowout, and after the Tua injury last week, I think we’ll see coaches play it safer, which is bad news for Burrow. You’re better off using Anthony Gordon. I think that one stays close.

Middle Tier:

Make sure you know what you’re paying for. With Justin Herbert, you’re getting a name that’s been mentioned as the number one overall pick in the NFL Draft. You’re also getting a quarterback with little upside. Herbert’s floor makes him perfect for cash games, but we can do better in GPP’s. Jamie Newman has had it rough without his receivers, but those were also two tough matchups. The Orange just clobbered Duke with worse receivers than Wake currently has.

Washington State’s defense is not very good this year. Jake Luton had two really good games against the Arizona teams around the Washington loss. Both of those teams are rated better against the pass than the Cougars. I like the upside on Luton here, and the price is very nice.

The Clayton Tune we saw against Memphis is not the Clayton Tune we usually get. Tune ran for 65 yards. 68 of that was on one run! I think they jacked his price up a little high here. Tulsa’s defense is better than advertised.

Bargain Shoppers:

If you read my odds article, you know I expect TCU to hang around. In order for them to do so, Max Duggan will have to have a really good game. He’s perfectly capable of it. Duggan put up 37.42 DraftKings points last week and has topped 25 in four of the last five games. Duggan actually looks cheap here. I like the upside for the price.

DraftKings dropped the ball here. Zach Smith is only $5,300 and Seth Boomer is minimum price. If Smiith can’t go, I like Boomer a bit less, but he’s still outscoring everyone else priced at $4,500. The same can be said for Smith if he goes. The only way this fails is if Smith starts the game and can’t finish.
