21. Baylor

The Baylor Bears had quite the amount of hype coming into the season, but that was quickly derailed a bit after losing to Washington in the opener. But a huge 87-78 victory over Villanova vaults them back into the Top 25. Sophomore Jared Butler had a big night against the Wildcats, scoring 22 points in the victory and averaging nearly 19 points per game.

22. Villanova

Villanova can definitely say that they have two of the most quality losses so far this season. The setbacks to Ohio State and Baylor sting today, but the team still has talent. Plus, when you have Jay Wright as head coach, we know this team will be ready come March.

23. Florida

Welcome back to prominence Florida. After dropping two head-scratchers to begin the season, the Gators finally got a win over Xavier. Florida was thought to be a Final Four contender with grad transfer Kerry Blackshear Jr. coming from Virginia Tech, but that hasn’t been the case thus far. With a win over Xavier on Sunday, though the Gators to seem to be getting back on the right track.

24. Xavier

Xavier was sort of a sleeper coming out of the Big East this year, and while they should be just that going into March, they still have plenty of work to do. They were handed their first loss last week to a talented, albeit inconsistent Florida Gators. Still, there is plenty of talent on this roster that should help them to bounce back fairly quickly.

25. Oklahoma

Oklahoma struggled at times in their 75-70 victory over William & Mary this week but overall this is still a squad that has two impressive wins over Minnesota and Oregon State. However, they were able to notch a blowout over Maryland Eastern Shore on Thursday.
