College football betting early results November 16:

Alabama(-18.5) at Mississippi State: HIT! This was a win, but a bigger loss for the Tide as Tua is done for the year. I don’t do this often, but I’m going to stick up for Nick Saban here. Sure, Alabama was up big when the injury happened, but it wasn’t even halftime. EVERY COACH plays his players at least until halftime no matter the score. Saban didn’t do anything wrong and he wasn’t being reckless with players. Every coach would have done the same.

Indiana at Penn State(-14.5): HIT! This was closer than I thought it would be. Indiana is better than they have been in a while.

Florida(-6.5) at Missouri: HIT! It wouldn’t have mattered if Bryant played or not. This Florida defense was dominant yet again. Kyle Trask threw two touchdowns yet again. Just another day at the office for the Gators.

Wisconsin(-14.5) at Nebraska: HIT! Nebraska fans finally have some silver lining. Sure, Wisconsin owned your defensive line, but Jonathan Taylor ran for less yards than last year and half of the starting defensive line was out. Nebraska didn’t turn the ball over. They didn’t beat themselves. They played as good of a game as they could. The better team just won. There’s no shame in that.

Michigan State at Michigan(-13.5): HIT! Easy money. This is the worst Michigan State team we have seen in over a decade.

Kansas at Oklahoma State(-17.5): HIT! The half went my way. Everything went the Cowboys’ way.

TCU(-2.5) at Texas Tech: MISS! This was a bad beat. Who wins and doesn’t cover 2.5 freaking points??

Massachusetts at Northwestern(-40.5): HIT!The Wildcats still won by more points than they had scored in the previous five combined, but came in just a touch under the spread. This was closer than it should have been.

Tulane(-5.5) at Temple: MISS! I see aggravating Temple is back again.

UTEP at UAB(-17.5): HIT! This was easy money, but it also convinced me that the Blazers were better than they actually are.

Navy at Notre Dame(-7.5): MISS! Wow, this was brutal. Navy was down 35 before they even caught their breath!

Troy(-6.5) at Texas State: HIT! For one week Troy looked like they deserve to go to a bowl game.

Coastal Carolina at Arkansas State(-12.5): HIT! Do moral victories still count for the Chanticleers?

Louisiana-Monroe at Georgia Southern(-6.5): HIT! This was another whoopin doled out by the Eagles.
