Detroit Pistons

Contract Year Andre Drummond

Blake Griffin is back, but since he’s clearly still shaking off injury-related rust, the best thing about the Detroit Pistons‘ nearly unwatchable product has easily been Contract Year Andre Drummond.

The big man is posting bonkers numbers, averaging 17.8 points, 16.8 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.8 blocks and 1.6 steals per game. Sure, the Pistons are still only 6-11 despite his mammoth stat line, but at least Drummond is giving fans a reason to tune in.

When (if?) Griffin gets back to true form, he’ll be the undisputed best player in Detroit once again. But for the time being, Pistons fans can thank Contract Year Andre Drummond for being the only one who’s not making their eyes bleed … even if he winds up bleeding the Pistons dry in free agency next summer.
