Minnesota Timberwolves

A more efficient Andrew Wiggins?

Is the Andrew Wiggins we’ve been waiting for finally here? Averaging career highs in scoring, rebounds, assists, steals and field goal percentage, Wiggins has never been better.

His stat line — 25.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game on 46.9 percent shooting — speaks for itself, but it’s the way he’s scoring that inspires hope. Taking a career-high 6.7 triples per game, Wiggins is making a respectable 34 percent from beyond the arc. He’s not a sniper by any means, but defenses have to respect him out there (or at least, more than from long 2-point range).

Wiggins has struggled a bit in the last three games since returning from illness, but if he’s finally ready to live up to his contract as an improved player and Karl-Anthony Towns‘ worthy sidekick, the Minnesota Timberwolves could make their way back to the playoffs this year.
