Utah Jazz

A more efficient Donovan Mitchell

Mike Conley‘s slow start has prevented the Utah Jazz from making the leap many were hoping for on the offensive end, but luckily, an uptick in efficiency from Donovan Mitchell is helping cover for it.

While Conley is averaging 14.8 points per game on an uninspired .373/.348/.789 shooting line, Mitchell has stepped up his game yet again, posting 25.6 points per game on 45.1 percent shooting from the field and 38.5 percent from 3-point range. All of those represent career highs.

Bojan Bogdanovic has been a welcome addition, and Utah’s fortunes will always begin on the defensive end, but if Mitchell can continue to progress from a volume scorer to a legitimately efficient Option A, the Jazz will eventually make their way into more league-average territory on offense.
