player. 50. . Cornerback. Detroit Lions. Jeff Okudah. 7

Despite their record, the Detroit Lions actually aren’t that far away from being a contender. The Lions were competitive in pretty much every game before Matthew Stafford went down with back fractures, which could be a blessing in disguise for Matt Patricia, who will get a chance to add an elite talent to his defense in Ohio State corner Jeff Okudah.

The Detroit secondary has had its share of issues throughout the year, and Okudah would give Patricia a long, physical corner with elite athleticism. It always takes rookie cornerbacks a bit of time to adjust to playing in the NFL, but Patricia would love the opportunity to work Okudah into the mix in his secondary for years to come.

Arizona Cardinals. Andrew Thomas. 8. player. 32. . Offensive Tackle

The Cardinals did well to take Kyler Murray with the first pick in April, and he has silenced any critics who accused the franchise of giving up on Josh Rosen too quickly. Murray has flashed a ton of potential under head coach Kliff Kingsbury, so the Cardinals will look to aid his development here by taking the best offensive tackle prospect in the draft.

Georgia’s Andrew Thomas has all the tools to become an elite left tackle in time, but he will need some work to harness that potential. Both of Arizona’s starting tackles are projected to be free agents after the season, so Thomas could slot in at right tackle until he is ready to move over to the left side.
