9. Barry Odom – Missouri

In four years with Missouri, Bary Odom is a paltry 24-25. After an 8-5 season last year, the Tigers are just 5-6 this season. To make matters worse, it doesn’t matter what the program does in the final game against Arkansas either.

The NCAA upheld its postseason ban against Missouri Athletics, which means a sixth win won’t make them bowl eligible this year regardless. Talk about a disappointing end to a disappointing year for the program.

For Odom, he has to hope that there’s enough patience extended to give him another year in Columbia. He only has one win against a top 25 team during his time with Missouri.

While he’s seen his record improve each season until this one, the lack of quality wins in a conference loaded with quality opponents is going to doom him just like it did Bret Bielema and Arkansas.

It’s not easy competing in the SEC, but that’s no excuse for losing either. The Tigers aren’t in the vaunted SEC West either. Missouri currently has lost five-straight conference games. That’s a trend in the wrong direction for the program.

Missouri might look at the first three years and choose to give Odom a pass for this clunker of the season and the fact that they wouldn’t have been able to play in a bowl game regardless. If they don’t, no one is going to blame them either.
