DraftKings EuroLeague Guards:

I’m not willing to pay the price for Mike James against the team that has allowed the least fantasy points to guards this year. Shane Larkin and Vasilije Micic are both better picks with Larkin being the more consistent pick and Micic having the higher ceiling. I’ve used both a few times this year and may again with a favorable matchup with Munich.

Facundo Campazzo is trending upward again with Llull out. Campazzo does seem to thrive when he starts though, so if he comes off the bench, I don’t know if I want to pay that much for him.

You can forget matchups with Cory Higgins. He just keeps putting up numbers no matter what. That’s great for cash games, but I want more for GPP’s. I’ll find a way to play both Efes guards first. Maodo Lo is in the same boat and providing about the same output and he’s cheaper. That’s something to consider.

Value at guard is going to be difficult. Brandon Paul is struggling and so is Spanoulis, so Wade Baldwin is worth a dart throw in GPP formats. He has played 45 minutes in the last two rounds, so it seems like Olypiacos is going to keep giving him minutes.

Kevin Punter was the darling early, but Taylor Rochestie has taken that away. It’s also time to look at Rodrigue Beaubois. He has been mostly an afterthought with the way Larkin and Micic are playing, but he’s doing well in limited minutes off the bench.

There aren’t a lot of different ways to go at guard today, it seems. This is more cut and dry than usual and all of the value plays are pretty risky.
