20. Florida

Much like Villanova, the Florida Gators had a rough start to the 2019-2020 season. Unlike the Wildcats though, the Gators have a quality win that vaulted them back into the power rankings last week in Xavier. This week, their lone win came over Marshall in a 73-67 victory. Keyontae Johnson has played well this season, he had 13 points and five rebounds against the Thundering Herd. Johnson leads the Gators in scoring for the season as well with 13 points per game. Florida will have yet another test this coming Saturday as they travel to Indianapolis to take on the 7-0 Butler Bulldogs.

19. Florida State

Another newcomer to the rankings this week, Florida State earns their spot after nice victories over Tennessee and Purdue this past weekend. That’s not mentioning the win over then No. 6 Florida in the second game of the season. Devin Vassell had 13 points in both of those victories and leads the team with 12. 5 points per game. This Seminoles team was decimated after losses from their Sweet 16 squad last season, but they seem to be doing just fine in 2019.

18. Baylor

The Baylor Bears were not in action this week as their last win came almost a week ago against the Villanova Wildcats. That win propelled the Bears back into the top 25 following a loss to Washington in their first game of the season. They will be back in action with a top 25 showdown against No. 14 Arizona on Saturday. Sophomore guard Jared Butler leads the team in scoring with 19.3 points per game.

17. Washington

Like Baylor, Washington was also not in action this past week with their last victory coming week ago against San Diego. They have a busy slate coming up this week with three games culminating in a showdown with No. 8 Gonzaga on Sunday. The Bulldogs are 8-1 with their only loss coming to Michigan this past week. Freshman Isaiah Stewart leads the team in scoring with 17.3 points per game.

16. Auburn

The Auburn Tigers stayed undefeated in the 2019-2020 season with two victories over New Mexico and Richmond this past week. Samir Doughty has been the pulse of a Tigers team that went to the Final Four last year. He is averaging 19.3 points per game so far this season including a 33 point outburst against CS-Northridge earlier this season. Austin Wiley has also been great this season leading the team in rebounding with about nine per game. He had back-to-back double-doubles as well with a 13 point, 10 rebound outing against Colgate, and then a 14-point, 13 rebound outing against New Mexico. They will take on Furman in their lone contest this week.
