DraftKings NBA Centers:

Best Bets:

Joel Embiid ($10,300): Embiid put up 56 DraftKings points despite a poor 5-16 shooting performance in the first game against Utah. Don’t expect Embiid to shoot that poorly again, especially at home. Embiid is shooting 50.4% from the floor at home, which is ten percentage points higher than his road mark. He could be in for a monster game here.

Rudy Gobert ($7,400): For as many issues as Gobert had with Embiid the first time around, the inverse was also true. Gobert put up 48 DraftKings points even though he took just eight shots in the first game against Philly. Fair warning: he also fouled out. Gobert has plenty of upside at this price despite the tougher matchup.

Honorable Mention:

Jaren Jackson ($6,200): Jackson has shown flashes of brilliance, but people likely soured on him again after last night. With JoVal out, Jackson should have dominated in a starting role against Minnesota. He fouled out in 19 minutes. That’s the risk with Jackson. He put up 38.25 DraftKings points in 23 foul-plagued minutes against the Pacers a week ago. He is likely still worth the risk.

Aron Baynes ($5,400): This is a great matchup for Baynes and he looks really cheap heading into it. Turner has more upside, but he usually fails in great matchups. To me, Baynes is a more proven commodity and a much more consistent player. Save yourself the headache and go with Baynes instead.

Dark Horses:

Marquese Chriss ($4,900): Perhaps the most disappointing thing about Chriss last night in a game full of them was the fact that he took just two shots. He still put up 16 DraftKings points, but if he’s not going to be part of the offense at all, it really limits the upside. There’s a chance he starts with Draymond out. Poor night or not last night, he’s worth the risk if he starts against the Hawks.

Robin Lopez ($4,400): Zeller’s return destroyed the value of both he and Biyombo. Fortunately, we don’t have to mess with such things tonight. Lopez will get the start in place of his ailing brother and he’s super cheap. Robin took over for Brook last night and put up 33 DraftKings points in just 24 minutes. This is a tougher matchup, but I still expect RoLo to flirt with 30.
