2020 NFL mock draft: Cincinnati Bengals replace Andy Dalton with Joe Burrow
By Brad Weiss
The Tennessee Titans made the tough decision to turn to Ryan Tannehill over former franchise quarterback Marcus Mariota a few weeks back, and it has turned into the right decision. Tannehill has turned the Titans into a legitimate contender in the AFC playoff picture, and they find themselves sitting at 7-5 with four games left.
This weekend, they take on the 6-6 Oakland Raiders, in a game that will have serious playoff implications. When it comes to this Tennessee Titans roster, they have done a nice job adding pieces on both sides of the ball, but one area that could use some bolstering this offseason is the defensive backfield.
At safety, the Titans are a bit thin, and sitting at No. 19 overall, they could end up getting one of the top safeties in the entire draft class. Grant Delpit could find himself picked in the top-15 next April, but if he does fall to the Titans, he could be one of the final pieces of the puzzle in what has been an impressive rebuild.
The Jacksonville Jaguars will hold two first-round picks next April, thanks to the trade they made with the Los Angeles Rams for Jalen Ramsey during the season. With Ramsey heading to LaLa Land, the Jaguars will have to find a way to replace him in their secondary, but there are some good options available next April.
One of those options is Florida cornerback C.J. Henderson, who has long been considered a first round talent for the Gators. Henderson not only has tremendous cover skills, but he also has soft hands, something that is rare in terms of defensive backs. He would be a perfect compliment to A.J. Bouye in the Jags secondary.
This will be an offseason of change for the Jaguars, who will have to figure out what they want to do at quarterback, now that Gardner Minshew has taken back over for Nick Foles. Having two first round picks in the draft is a great start to rebuilding the roster, but the changes will go far beyond just the guys who take the field in 2020.
