Oklahoma vs. Baylor

This rematch is most important for Sooners quarterback Jalen Hurts. He had three turnovers against Baylor in their last meeting, one of which was a fumble near the goal line. Hurts has made strides this season, but there are still question marks in his game, mostly as a passer. If he can be more efficient and limit turnovers (combined with a few more games of improved play down the stretch), he could find his way into the first round conversation in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Hurts will have wide receiver CeeDee Lamb this week, who’s had the best season of any draftable wide receiver. He’s not the fastest or strongest player, but Lamb can make defenders miss and shake them off after the catch, runs good routes, and has great body control and tracking ability. He could have a dominant outing this week.

The matchup to watch in this one is Denzel Mims against Parnell Motley. Mims has had a very good senior season for Baylor and could see his stock rise down the stretch and during the Senior Bowl. His size and speed is fun to watch.

Baylor defensive lineman James Lynch is a sleeper to watch in this one. He is a strong player with heavy hands who can pressure the quarterback.

Ohio State vs. Wisconsin

Everyone will watch to see if Chase Young can repeat his previous performance and get four sacks against Wisconsin. Will J.K. Dobbins dominate once again as he rises up draft boards? Can Wisconsin running back Jonathan Taylor have a bounce-back game against the Buckeyes?

All are valid questions, but let’s dig a little deeper into this game. The Ohio State secondary, led by Jeffrey Okudah, Shaun Wade, and Damon Arnette, could really put a strain on the Wisconsin offense. Keep an eye on Buckeyes linebacker Malik Harrison in this one, along with Wisconsin linebacker/edge Zack Baun. Harrison is a great downhill linebacker and Baun is a great athlete who can play off the ball and rush the passer.

Clemson vs. Virginia

It’s important to mention Travis Etienne, Tee Higgins, A.J. Terrell and Isaiah Simmons in this one but they aren’t the sleepers to watch. Virginia quarterback Bryce Perkins is the important one to watch. He’s a dual-threat quarterback who shows good poise in the pocket and solid accuracy. How will he fare against Clemson’s defense? Don’t forget about Senior Bowl attendee K’Von Wallace either.
