DraftKings EuroLeague Guards:

Both Nick Calathes and Alexey Shved have tough matchups today. Calathes is pretty much matchup-proof at this point. Given the way Shved has performed, I wouldn’t pay for him anyway. Even if Nando comes back, I don’t really have interest in him. It’s Calathes if I’m paying top dollar.

Shane Larkin had a truly historic game with a 15-19 line from the floor including ten made triples. That resulted in a EuroLeague record 49 actual points and 64 DraftKings points. Something like that likely wont happen again anytime soon, but ownership on Larkin will spike just in case. That’s unfortunate since this is another good spot for Larkin. I may have to fight the crowds to get at one piece of this. Do keep in mind that Vasilije Micic was 0-4 from the floor last round and was held out of double figures for the first time this season. They aren’t going to phase him out entirely.

Lost in Larkin massive game was another strong game from Kostas Sloukas. This is a similarly good matchup for Fenerbahce, so he could be a good way to pivot off of the high ownership of Larkin.

Cory Higgins and Brandon Paul both have great matchups in the middle tier, but they have both been wildly inconsistent. I’d trust Higgins over Paul because he plays the team that has given up the most fantasy points to guards in the EuroLeague so far this season.

If Vildoza is out, both Nik Stauskas and Pierria Henry look really good today. I like Henry regardless, but Stauskas is more of a backup plan should Vildoza have to sit out.

The minutes didn’t drop for Austin Hollins. It was the shots that weren’t dropping. Real Madrid is a solid defensive team. Hollins should see a lot more open looks against Villeurbanne today. The same is true for Alex Renfroe.

Malcolm Delaney is a solid play at a reasonable price, especially since Barcelona is still a little beaten up. I don’t trust any of the Villeurbanne players enough to roll them over Delaney despite all of them having plus matchups.

I really like Melih Mahmutoglu if de Colo remains out. Mahmutoglu was the one that finally stepped up in the absence of de Colo and he’s still really cheap. If Nando plays, I also like Matt Janning getting minutes for a value punt. Very few value plays remain as consistent as Theo Maledon though.
