DraftKings NBA picks December 6: Can Giannis dominate again?
By Mike Marteny
DraftKings NBA Centers:
Best Bets:
Karl-Anthony Towns ($10,400): So long as Towns is healthy, I see no reason not to use him. Other than the fact that it’s difficult to get both him and Giannis or A.D. in your lineup. I would take either of them over Towns. No, it’s not because I’m scared of the knee either. There are just better options out there tonight and plenty of other solid options at center.
Andre Drummond ($9,400): Drummond has absolutely owned the Pacers in the three meetings this year, averaging 37 minutes and 55.8 DraftKings points. Turner obviously can’t stop him. They can’t even contain him. Expect another strong outing from Drummond.
Honorable Mention:
Bam Adebayo ($7,500): This could be a big game for Bam with Bryant out of the picture. That said, Miami is one of the more balanced teams out there and the only time they have been willing to go out of that balance is if Jimmy Butler gets hot. He’s the only one that transcends this team. That does cap Bam’s upside, but he’s cheap enough that he could hit 6x value at this price still.
Jarrett Allen ($7,200): Something has finally clicked with Allen. I still wouldn’t use him against a strong front just yet, but Allen has been stacking up big games on weak fronts. Charlotte certainly qualifies as that.
Montrezl Harrell ($6,500): Harrell had his best game of the season against the Bucks in the first meeting, terrorizing them for 62.75 DraftKings points in 39 minutes. Now, he’s not playing 39 minutes with Kawhi and PG in the mix, nor is he going to take 25 shots again. However, the Bucks are weakest in the middle, so a strong performance seems likely.
Dark Horses:
Steven Adams ($6,300): The slow start has made Adams hard to trust, but Minnesota is average against centers and Adams has at least 38 DraftKings points in three straight. There aren’t a ton of great cheap options inside tonight, but getting that from Adams at this price will feel like a steal.
Khem Birch ($5,100): I like this more if Thompson sits, but Birch has put up solid numbers as Orlando’s starting center. There isn’t a ton of upside here. You pretty much know what you’re getting with Birch. 23-30 DraftKings points. That’s acceptable if you want to punt center.
Mo Bamba ($4,700): Whereas Birch is very workmanlike and consistent, Mo is electric and enigmatic. You just never know what you’re getting. Mo had just 13.5 DraftKings points in 16 minutes in a great matchup with Washington on Tuesday. He turned that around with 34.75 DraftKings points in just 18 minutes against Phoenix. The upside is high, but the floor is quite literally Hell.
