NBA DFS: Studs, scrubs, and duds for December 9
Scrubs
Derrick Rose (at NO – $5,600 on DK; $5,800 on FD): I’m once again torn on Rose and Kennard. Kennard has the higher ceiling while Rose has the consistency at the moment. One should be taken given the opponent is the Pelicans and the offense will be there in a big way for the Pistons.
Daniel Theis (vs CLE – $4,200 on DK; $4,600 on FD): Theis gets decent enough moves but this is all about the matchup. He had a big outing against the Cavaliers earlier this season and should be in line for another big game on Monday given the matchup.
Ben McLemore (vs SAC – $5,300 on DK; $5,000 on FD): McLemore continues to score the ball well and he’ll continue to do that against this matchup and within the Rockets offense. Until his shooting slows down, you can keep taking him with confidence because the opportunities will be there.
OG Anunoby (at CHI – $4,700 on DK; $5,300 on FD): OG had a good outing against the 76ers and the matchup is even better on Monday. The fact that he proved himself as a double double threat is a big boost to his value moving forward. The only concern the the rest of the Raptors play better. But he won’t hurt you at this price.
Willie Cauley-Stein (vs MEM – $4,500 on DK; $4,900 on FD): WCS is a low key double double and the matchup certainly helps as the Grizzlies are very weak against the position. The Warriors don’t have much going on but WCS can get easy rebounds and points in the paint and within the Warriors system.
